After 37 years the Warehouse offers to date a fluent and opportune service to the producers of the locality, it has a wide range of chemical, biological and organic products, with all the necessary equipment for a better technical and commercial production, for both the producer and the consumer..
There is technical occupational counseling for cultivation analysis and their interpretation, agricultural training, research in usage of new materials in conventional, organic and ambience controlled agriculture, all of this in benefit of the associate-producer generating constant actualization and therefore offering innovations to livestock and agriculture farmers..
Frozen Process Plant:
Coopagrimar R.L.’s agro-industrial division began activities in 1995 with one of the best agro-industrial plants for frozen foods in the country, with an investment cost superior of two million dollars, being the only one with the modality of quick freeze tunnel (I.Q.F.) in the country that belongs to a cooperative, witch consists on freezing caused by a sudden drop in temperature therefore forming small ice crystals that cause less damage to the product because it does not affect it’s cells, which keeps its natural conditions.
The Agro-Industrial Plant for frozen agricultural products of Coopagrimar R.L. has the capacity for 3.600 TM of raw material a year, which theoretically is the capacity of the quick freeze tunnel (I.Q.F.). Considering that the average performance between the finish product and the raw material is of 35% among different agricultural products that are processed in the plant, the end result on finished product is approximately 1.260 TM a year, working in 8 hour daily shifts.
The plant initiated activity with the frozen broccoli production and over the last periods it has developed and broadened its range of products, like: frozen sliced bananas, chunks and tidbits of frozen pineapple, frozen diced papaya, frozen diced chili, and there is an active research in the development of new frozen products using the products from the Huetar Norte region of the country.
Intentions for the creation of Coopagrimar R.L.
a- Develop al the activities related with production, harvest, industrialization and marketing of the agricultural products of its associates, in order to improve on service and generate greater benefits.
b- Promote though diverse media, the commerce and consumption of the agricultural products of the associates, inside the country as well as internationally, in a way that the industry of these products can unfold on an equality competition with other national industries.
c- Produce, manufacture or acquire raw materials, equipment, machinery, fuel, herbicides, natural or produced products and other for distribution amongst the associates, from inside or outside the country, in order to provide the associates with the most convenient attention to their land or farming and increment the national agricultural production.
d- Have an active collaboration with agricultural and/or industrial institutions to improve cultivating techniques, ground conservation, production, marketing, product diversification and others in a sustainable solution.
e- Undertake any other services that are related to the activities of the associates, in order to develop them and improve benefits for the associates and the nearby community.
f- Promote between the associates a spirit of mutual economic, social and cultural help.
g- Attempt economical and social improvement amongst the members, create social services, improve the cultural and technical level of the associates and establish relations with other cooperative organizations, in order to contribute to the development of national and international cooperatives.
h- Stimulate an inversion quota policy.
i- Compare, sell, permute, take, lease, pawn or mortgage all property state necessary to develop operations, as well as grant, accept, endorse repays and any other transferable or negotiable document needed to fulfill objectives.
j- Acquisition, centralization, selection, classification or industrialization, packaging and sale of products from the associates’ farms and derived products.
k- Install and make good use of the industrial plants that are considered to be necessary in order to execute the previously mentioned clause.
l- Promote savings and facilitate credits with strict subjection to internal regulations, especially to be used on agricultural projects, at reasonable interest rates and orientation on the better use of their credit.
m- Participate in partnerships and other types of associations.
n- Promote an adequate distribution and exploitation of land, acknowledging the rights of property of those who have an agricultural calling and bring the necessary facilities to obtain their goals through licit media, as well as technical and credit assistance and other services.
o- Supply the associates, thought out outlays or other systems, with the distribution of personal goods for themselves or their homes with the best conditions of price and quality, size and weight, attempting to avoid the use of intermediaries in benefit of the cooperatives members, their families and the community.
